2017 Reedy Race Control Tire Update
December 15, 2016 -- To provide the best possible racing and practice experience, a change has been made to the 2WD rear control tire for the 2017 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions. Due to immense popularity and thus limited supplies, the JConcepts Gold Space Bars (#3176-05) will no longer be the 2WD rear control tire at the event. The rest of the tire and foam selections will remain the same and are listed below.
The following will be the only tire/foam combinations allowed at the event:
2WD Buggy
• Front - JConcepts Gold Space Bars (#3177-05) & JConcepts Dirt Tech Closed Cell Inserts (#3231)
• Rear - JConcepts Gold Dirt Webs (#3076-05) & JConcepts Dirt Tech Closed Cell Inserts (#3232)
4WD Buggy
•Front - Pro-Line MC Transistor (#8254-17) & JConcepts Dirt Tech Closed Cell Inserts (#3230)
• Rear - Pro-Line MC Positron (#8256-17) & JConcepts Dirt Tech Closed Cell Inserts (#3232)

Race Into Reedy Event Announcement
December 9, 2016 -- The Reedy Race is pleased to announce a unique opportunity for those racers who were not drawn in the lottery for the Open Class. On January 14, 2017 at 6pm, OCRC will host a qualifying event where racers will vie for six additional spots in the Open Class and earn a position into the Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions. These six spots will be in addition to the original 100 drawn lottery entrants.
Format
• Racers must compete in both 2WD and 4WD classes
• Two rounds of IFMAR qualifying
• The fastest times from each class will be added together
• Based upon the combined laps and times, the top six drivers will earn a spot into the event
Rules
• OCRC rules apply
• Tire and additive combination is not controlled
• Entrants must be available and willing to compete in both 2WD and 4WD Open at the Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions the following weekend
Format
• Pre-entries accepted by phone or email at OCRC
• Entries limited to the first 40 paid entrants
• Entries close January 2, 2017
• "Race In To Reedy" entry fee collected by OCRC; $20
• "Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions" collected by Reedy Race Organizer; $200

December 7, 2016 -- The Reedy Race is pleased to announce that Pro-Line and JConcepts will continue to be the official tire and insert suppliers for the 23rd running of the Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions.
The following will be the only tire/foam combinations allowed at the event:
2WD Buggy

Since 2014 a specially blended control tire additive has been used and this will continue for 2017. A designated tire saucing area will be set up and all application of tire additive must be done at this location with the control tire sauce. The mild additive is low odor, low toxicity, and has been tested against other popular additives at OCRC to ensure consistent performance.
Remember, included with each entry is one set of branded control tires and inserts. These will be distributed after OCRC open practice on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. Any tire used during a scored round at the Reedy Race must have a branding mark from the event, which is only available for purchase during the event dates of January 19-22, 2017.

2017 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions Announced
October 17, 2016 -- Thank you, racers! The pre-entries for the 23rd running for of the Reedy Race were unprecedented. With 333 racers wanting to compete in the event, demand continues to overwhelm availability. It is truly unfortunate that we are not able to accommodate everyone who wants to participate, but in order to provide a quality event with a reasonable time table, entries must be limited.
The lottery entry list that includes pre-qualified drivers who made the A Mains last year, minimal sponsor exceptions and the randomly drawn entrants and is published here:

If you were one of the fortunate racers to have your name drawn to compete, payment is only accepted through RCSignup with PayPal. Once your entry is marked as eligible for payment, please log in to your account and follow the payment instructions. Payment is due by midnight, November 23, 2016. Remember, included with each confirmed and paid entry is a complete set of control tires and inserts for both 2WD and 4WD along with a personalized grab bag. As a courtesy to your fellow racers, please notify the organizers promptly if you are not able to attend so the next entrant on the waiting list can be contacted.
After the payment deadline passes, the Waiting List will be contacted in order to fill the unpaid positions in the event. Payment for Waiting List drivers will be due within 24 hours of email notification from the event organizer via your RCSignup email address.
Invitational drivers that have registered may also confirm by paying via RCSignup. If you are registered and are unable to attend, please notify the event organizer via reedyrace@rc10.com so others may fill your position.

2017 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions Announced
August 26, 2016 -- With three solid years of hosting the Reedy Race under its belt, OCRC remains the "Home of the Reedy Race" and the event continues to grow in popularity and prestige. On many racers' "Bucket List," the atmosphere and intensity of the race draws spectators and fans in from around the world, even if it's just to watch and be a part of the most exciting race of the year.
In the 2016 Invitational Class, Dakota Phend added to his list of accolades with the overall win, while up-and-coming stars Joona Haatanen from Finland won the 2WD Open class and Alex Kosciuszek from the USA got the win in 4WD Open. All three racers will be back to compete in the Invitational class and look to become the 23rd name etched on the Mike Reedy Heritage Trophy.
Entries for the 2017 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions open at noon, PST on September 1, 2016 exclusively on www.rcsignup.com and close October 16, 2016 at midnight, PST. As in previous years, the event features its traditional 2WD Open and 4WD Open classes along with the combined 2WD/4WD Invitational format.
Drivers who are qualified for the Invitational class are listed here. As always, only the top 30 qualified drivers will be selected to compete in the ultra-competitive Invitational class; however, all qualified drivers are guaranteed a position in the Open class.
