2016 Reedy Race Control Tire Announcement
Dec. 16, 2015 -- The Reedy Race is pleased to announce that Pro-Line and JConcepts will continue to be the official tire and insert suppliers for the 22nd running of the Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions. With extensive testing from multiple vehicle manufacturers and with the assistance of representatives from the tire manufacturers, the control tires and inserts were selected to provide the participants with the best possible combination for each vehicle. The following will be the only combinations allowed at the event:
2WD Buggy
• Front – JConcepts Gold Dirt Webs (#3077-05) & Pro-Line Closed Cell Inserts (#6185-03)
• Rear – JConcepts Gold Dirt Webs (#3076-05) & Pro-Line 12 Rib Closed Cell Inserts (#5400-14)
4WD Buggy
• Front – Pro-Line MC Electron (#8240-17) & Pro-Line Closed Cell Inserts (#6185-02)
• Rear – Pro-Line MC Electron (#8238-17) & Pro-Line 12 Rib Closed Cell Inserts (#5400-14)
All the tires and foam are 2.2" size and may only be mounted on 2.2" wheels. A complete list of tire rules can be found at http://reedyrace.com/2016/offroad/tires.html.
2014 marked the first time a control additive was used at the Reedy Race and this will continue for 2016. A designated tire saucing area will be set up and all application of tire additive must be done at this location with the control tire sauce. The mild additive is low odor, low toxicity and has been tested against other popular additives at OCRC to ensure consistent performance.
Remember, included with each entry is one set of branded control tires and inserts. Additional tires and inserts may be purchased though OCRC Raceway beginning in mid-December. However, any tire used during a scored round at the Reedy Race must have a branding mark from the event which is only available for purchase during the event dates of January 21-24, 2016.

2016 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions Entries Open
Sept. 1, 2015 -- Entries for the 22nd running of the Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions are now open through October 18, 2015 exclusively on RCSignup.com.
In order to provide the best racing experience, new for 2016, the Open class is a single registration that includes an entry into both the 2WD Open and 4WD Open buggy classes. This is done to streamline the event and to assist with organization.
To allow everyone an opportunity to be a part of the 22nd running of the Reedy Race, a lottery drawing for the Open class will be conducted on October 19th for the 100 available positions. Open class drivers who made the A mains in the 2015 event, along with minimal event sponsor exemptions and lower-ranked Invitational drivers, will be guaranteed a spot in the event. This usually amounts to approximately 20 drivers. Entry fees are only collected after the lottery drawing and for the selected Open and Invitational drivers. Remember, included with the $200 entry fee for each confirmed and paid entry is a complete set of control tires and inserts for both vehicles along with a personalized grab bag from the event sponsors.
Those drivers that are currently qualified for the Invitational class through their Nationals, previous Reedy Races and other avenues are listed here. The listed racers should register under the 'Invitational Class.' Once the IFMAR 1:10 Off-Road World Championship is completed, any additional qualified drivers will be added to the list. All other drivers wishing to compete in the event should register under the 'Open Class.'

2016 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions Announced
August 17, 2015 -- The Reedy Race is pleased to announce that the 2016 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions will continue for the third consecutive year at OCRC Raceway in Huntington Beach, CA from January 21-24, 2016.
With two years of hosting the Reedy Race under its belt, OCRC continues to be the “Home of the Reedy Race” and the event is more popular than ever. With over 500 lottery entrants last year, the response was overwhelming. Racers from around the world descended on the popular Southern California track just to be a part of the atmosphere, even if they weren’t participating.
In the Invitational Class, Ryan Maifield took a very popular win while Aussie Kyle McBride won the 4WD Open class and OCRC local, Kevin Motter, got the win in 2WD Open. All three racers will be back to compete in the Invitational class to become the 22nd name etched on the Mike Reedy Heritage Trophy.
Entries for the 2016 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions open at noon, PST on September 1, 2015 exclusively on www.rcsignup.com and close October 18, 2015 at midnight, PST. As in previous years, the event features its traditional 2WD Open and 4WD Open classes and the combined 2WD/4WD Invitational format.
With a majority of the major championships completed for 2015, the current list of qualified Invitational drivers can be found at www.reedyrace.com/2016/offroad/qualified.html. IFMAR Worlds finalists will be added at the completion of that event to round out the qualified Invitational drivers.
